Dentures treatment at Abul Makarem Dental Clinic

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. A full denture replaces all the teeth in one jaw, while a partial denture replaces some missing teeth and fits around the teeth that remain. The suitable type depends on the mouth, the remaining teeth, and the dentist’s assessment.

What Does a Denture Visit Involve?

The dentist examines your mouth and discusses which teeth need replacing. Making a denture usually involves measurements or impressions of the mouth, a record of how the teeth meet, and one or more fitting appointments. The fit and bite are checked when the denture is provided, and adjustments may be needed as you get used to it.

Getting Used to Dentures

A new denture can feel unfamiliar at first. Speaking and eating with it may take practice, so it can help to begin with softer food cut into small pieces. If the denture rubs, feels loose, or affects your bite, arrange a review instead of trying to adjust it yourself.
